Refund policy

Return & Exchange Period

Please inspect and test your order as soon as it is received. If you wish to return or exchange your purchase, please note that the time period begins the day you receive your purchase. Unless expressly otherwise stated, items can only be returned & exchanged for a period of 7 days after you have received your order. 

Return & Refund Handling Fees

All returned items that require a refund will garner a handling fee of the greater of R450 + shipping fees or 30% of the item sale price + shipping fees.

Non-returnable Items

Non-returnable items are considered as final sale items and cannot be returned or refunded. Non-returnable items include:

Custom & Personalized orders
All Software Items
As Received Condition (These include free accessories which we give at times and do not charge for such as keyboard and mouse combos, flash drives, adapters, free cables, bags etc.)

Items need to be returned in the same condition as what they were received. Items that are damaged (physical damage, water damage, corosion, infestation etc.), unsanitary, dented, majorly scratched or missing contents could be denied a return.

Tampering

Items that have been tampered with – physically opened, cables removed, side panels & backplates removed, or where the item has been deemed to be altered by the User, may either be denied a return or reimbursement or will be charged a handling fee of 30% of the item sale price and shipping fees.

How to initiate a return

Gather the item/items you wish to return, along with its original contents and packaging. Thereafter please contact us at orders@gogadgets.co.za to arrange for the item to be returned to us and please include your order number in the subject line of the email.

Refund method and Timeframe

We will first try and resolve any issue by exchanging the defective / faulty product for the same item or something similar. If this resolution does not suit you or an exchange cannot be made to your satisfaction, we will reimburse you for the returned item/s in the same manner as which you completed payment.

For any returns, once we receive the item, the item will be inspected to determine if it is in the same condition as it was provided to you. This inspection will take approximately 1 working day after the item has been received. After this inspection, the refund will be processed within 3 to 5 working days. Depending on your bank’s processing time and the method in which payment was completed, it may take up to 5 working days after we process the refund to reflect in your account.

Special Considerations

Damaged, defective, or incorrect items

If you receive a product that is damaged in shipping, defective or that is not the product you ordered, please contact us to arrange for the item to be returned and we will arrange for a replacement.

Returns lacking proof of purchase.

Reimbursements on returns that has no proof of purchase will require an email address, shipping address, name under which the order was placed or any other reasonably required information to trace your order number and the item. If not provided, then we may either deny or limit the refund amount.

Product Accessories and Packaging

Please return all items purchased with all applicable accessories and packaging. If you do not, we may deny the return or allow a return with a non-refundable deduction on your refund for what is missing.

Warranty

All items purchased from Go Gadgets SA  Ltd has a 12 Month Carry-in Warranty unless otherwise stated. A Carry-in Warranty means that if a fault/defect/error is present on the device within 14 days of you receiving your purchase, we will bear the cost of returning the item to us and shipping the item back to you after the issue has been resolved. If the fault/defect/error occurs after this time and within the 12 month Carry-in Warranty period, it will be the responsibility of the customer to return the item to us and bear the cost of the return and to ship the item back to the required destination after the issue has been resolved. No cost to repair the item will be charged to the customer within the 12 Month Carry-in Warranty period unless it has been determined the issue occurred due to User error.

Faults caused by power surges due to restoration of power after loadshedding, electrical overload, faulty wiring, lightning strikes etc. will not be covered under warranty. This applies to the device itself, its components, power supplies and/or chargers. It remains the user's responsibility to prevent possible power surges to their devices.

All batteries, chargers and power supplies carry a 3 month warranty (warranty is not applicable if the fault was caused by power surges due to restoration of power after loadshedding, electrical overload, faulty wiring, lightning strikes etc.). 

In the event of a corrupted operating system, it is important to note that warranty coverage will not apply and a shipping fee, as well as a re-installation fee of R350, will be incurred. To prevent this from happening, it is recommended to avoid forcefully shutting down the device during updates and to exercise caution when visiting websites or using external devices.

BIOS: By default, our devices' booting mode is set to UEFI. However, if this setting is changed and the device fails to boot, there will be a shipping fee charged for the return and dispatch of the device.

Please note that any free accessories (e.g. keyboard and mouse, flash drives etc.) included with your purchase are non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and not eligible for replacement.

NB: Please be aware that it is your responsibility to verify the contents upon receipt, as complaints will not be addressed after 7 days (except for warranty claims).
